Hand held "worship item"? Not sure. There is a scroll inside, i'm thinking light it and twirl it to release mystic powers. Needs some minor repair.

Appears to be a tibetan prayer wheel. It's not really a prayer wheel but that's what they call it.

you have to let check this , because of a possible Om Mani Padme Hum scroll
because when the Mani is in it it raises the value , because of the symbolic colatteral meaning Potala, the perfect environment of the Empathy Buddha
