    I believe that this is a meat grinder. I can't quite make out the name, but, I can make out the word patented and 1859.
    it is made of heavy cast iron and has two sharp slicing blade like rolls. It looks like it would slice any meat stuck into the opening, including fingers. ...... I do love cast iron!
