A Heaney bowl and a pair of oil burners. The iridescent blue bowl is spectacular. On the top, we have a swirling iridescent green vine attached to small pink miniature roses [?]. It reminds me of what the Bohemians did 9 decades ago. The vine is a luminescent green. Engraved signature on the bottom with an accompanying factory sticker. Made in 1991. The exterior is slightly dimpled and the application of the chemical blue appears to be heavy - hence its bright lustre. It really is an eye catching example. Height 10 cms; width 16 cms. The burners are bright and colourful. They have different iridescent patterns. Colours are blue, pink, green and gold. Brass wick inserts at the top. Height 5.5 cms and width is 10 cms. The colours come out to play when they are both lit. Engraved signature with date on bottom of each. 1994

Magnificent iridescent bowl with applied roses, it's totally gorgeous

Newfld, yes it is a gorgeous bowl. Many people have admired it. It is one of our first purchases of his glass and we haven't regretted it. The colour is what you may call an 'electric blue' and sets off the vine and flowers very well. My daughter also admires and collects Heaney glass as well. She has many, many pieces. I might have some other examples to post soon. Thanks for the love and comment.

The roses appear on my pieces but they are both much more ordinary than this. Wow!

Hi, racer4four. Your Heaney item is very good. It is interesting how similar decoration that was used in a particular period is found across a range of vases and bowls. Heaney produced a wide range of glassware as he continued to experiment with shapes and colours. I wish I had more of Heaney when the opportunity arose to buy them but, alas, I have champagne tastes and a beer pocket!
