A Griswold 202 propane gas camp stove. Made of cast iron. Probably manufacturer in 1930. Same Griswold company that makes cast iron cookware. Thanks in advance for any reply!

It seems the right height and size to use as a trivit nowadays. Rather Steam Punk looking - just take to have it coloured in a car paint shop or chromed maybe.
I'd kinda disagree with Phil on this one (unusually for me...) in that I'd vote for leaving it exactly *as-is* and using as intended -- probably outside my actual house ;-) but still -- it'd be a WAY-FUN addition to a big smoker grill/etc in an 'outdoor kitchen', for a big kettle of beans or hot oil for deep frying or whatnot...??? :-) :-) :-)
Now, of course, if you find some old advertising or something to suggest it was shiny painted or finished when it *was* actually new, then kindly disregard all the above... ;-)
Either way its a really cool piece !~
I agree with Anything, some things need restoration and fresh paint, and some things (like this beauty) need to be left as they are found.
