Looks like some type of fertility doll from a tribe ,Africa ,Mexico ? hard to know and better photos and size would help . He/she is pretty cool piece .

LOL fhr bb2 didn't send one. I do believe 90% it is a fertility doll of sorts but not 2000 yrs old ! I also believe it represents a woman. It could have been sold as a novelty or used by a tribe ? I am sticking my neck out on this one so don't cut it ok I am already short and need my neck. <smile>

Yeman is not very big. It's one of the poorest countries in the world. Almost all of their artifacts have been looted. So again...where did you get this and explain why you think it is old and not a reproduction?

Thank you jiji, that helps to identify country of origin that it was found . I do believe you have a piece of history .What or who it represents I am not sure . I think it may be brass but you can get it tested for gold at a jeweler . Hard to date things by a photo . Many artifacts have been reproduced so well on a photo difficult to tell . He or/she was a great find . Perhaps take to a museum to identify and get back with us if they have the answer . Not sure your culture believed in fertility myths and used symbols to put in house to increase chance of having a child. Otherwise I am thinking he is some sort of representation of a military figure . Good luck . Can you read any of the symbols on the body and tell us the words they say ?

If I were to uncover a artifact however I would surely photograph it in ground before I carefully removed . So lacking that verification makes it difficult to confirm authenticity .
Manikin Grab another one of BB2's special brownies and you will get a totally new point of view. If you have artifacts you need to show in the ground bring them to me and we will play hide and seek out back. By the way I have privacy fence all the way around the back yard, nobody will know about our little game.
