    This appears to be a rosewood stand for a Chinese porcelain figure of an animal. Two feet impressions are very different from the other two. What do you think this stand was made for?

      I will throw in my 2 cents. When blowing the pictures up I see some fairly good scratches like someone used a coarse steel wool on it to clean it. I wonder if an incense burner might have sat on it and scorched the wood a bit.

      I saw one like this with three or four jade characters standing on it. I almost bought it :)
