Picked up this astronaut along with 2 other GI Joes and a footlocker full of gear at the Rose Bowl. A big buy that has provided hours of entertainment.
The lot came with the space suit show. It is the 2 zipper suit as Habro figured they could save a bit leaving out one of the zipper. That suit was released in 1969 in the Space Walk Mystery.
Luckily I have the other pieces although there is one I left out but it is around somewhere. Here you can see the oxygen pack which has suction cups on the back. After all the years it still sticks to a window. He also has a retro rocket gun to maneuver in space.
In the last photo the space capsule can be seen. This is the one that came with the set so I am thinking there will be a part two.
Doesn't look very comfortable..ha ha...a space wedgie...
What an awesome GI Joe! I always wanted the space suit for my GI Joe when I was a kid.
