Hello - I have this television but can not find details on it. The sticker on the back identifies it as an Airline but I can't make out the year it was manufactured. It measures 21" diagonally and approx 17" picture area. It also has an antenna but I'm not sure if it was sold together originally or is 'aftermarket'. I reached out to Electrohome but since they were purchased in 2010 they have no archives left prior to purchase.

Can anyone provide any details or point me to a site?
    Thanks in advance

I believe the numbers on the bottom left of the schematic say 1950s.

And further looking at individual tubes..6AL5 introduced in 1945, 6T8 introduced in 1948, 12AU7..about 1948. So obviously the set was made after those years

Yes that’s what I was asking
if it used tubes ,,I remember how
hot those tube televisions used to get
almost like a heater in the room

Thank you @dav2no1 for your eagle eyes. Do the values the 4600-8-53-DP represent the date of production?
    4. HJK HJK, 2 years ago
@Vynil33rpm it has not been turned on in many years for that reason plus we were only able to get 1 channel with the antennae :-)

Further reading shows they started making tvs in 1949, so your set being 1950s is probable

Cool old TV set. Maybe this isn't useful/correct info, but I think "Airline" was a Montgomery Wards (department store) brand, I dunno about the "Electrohome" name, or if/how that might have been a Canadian version of MW...but maybe something to look into anyway...?

@Vynil33rpm no I haven't heard of the legend - all our channels now are digital so it may not work even if it exists....

@AnythingObscure the back plate and stickers all state Kitchner, ON - could not find a match searching MW.
