    Got this 50's/60's Borg scale from a garage sale for $5. Have it apart and cleaning. Yes, it is nasty but actually operational. Apparently people were smaller and lighter back then. (Update) cleaned up and ended up painting. Think it turned out great

      I love these old scales, I have no idea why, maybe it's just cuz I want to clean them!!! They do clean up nicely most of the time. When they don't, a little sanding and paint works wonders!!!

      My parents had this Borg scale (in mottled yellow) in their bathroom; it’s in mine now. I remember, as a child, thinking that the “Not Legal For Trade” legend meant I wasn’t allowed to swap it for something else XD It’s a real workhorse of a scale, with a cute Art Deco vibe!
