Glass Blue Bird
Approximately 5 1/2"(beak to tail) x 3 1/2" tall
My sister and I bought a small lot of glass items today for our etsy store. Items included Fenton amberina glass, glass paperweights, the trio of Leo Ward signed "blue bird of happiness" and this piece. I decided to keep this one for my collection.
This bird is the same blue as the Leo Ward blue birds, but there's no signature. This piece also has what looks like a branch or hand holding an apple. Any suggestions as to who made it, are appreciated. Sorry for the crappy pictures..color definitely didn't come through.
Beautiful blue glass bird Dave, lovely shade. Leo Ward made the original of this design in 1982 for Terra Studios of Arkansas I believe, then bluebirds of happiness were also done by Titan Glass & Ron Ray ca the 90s. Nice find!
