Bought this just for the box which is a good thing as it has pieces from the wrong model inside. This would be a nice kit as it comes with the dog sled team along with the airplane. And it is a very cool airplane with the corrugated steel body and the three radial engines.
I believe this is from the 1950s or 1960s. That was when kids were building the models. The model companies then were in a race to be the first to make the kits. Quality was not always 100%. When Tamiya and Airfix started making kits they were in standardized scales with much higher quality and kits like this started to disappear. It doesn't even say what scale it is. Just exact scale model. But they did have great artwork.
