My father a Pearl Harbor Survivor was aboard the USS Tern (AM-31) on Dec. 7 1941. The 1941 Hawaii license plate was given to me by another Pearl Harbor Survivors widow. Her husband was aboard the USS Nevada (BB-36). I am a member of the Sons & Daughters of Pearl Harbor Survivors and she felt I should have his license plate.

I'm a member of the SDPHS as well; I'm actually planning to submit a write-up to Rick on my plate display for the next issue. Would love to hear more of your dad's story, and the story of the gentleman whose 1941 plate you have; that's a VERY valuable plate!
