Last weekend I went on a road trip to Orange, a town in the Central West region of NSW. It is around 2 hours drive from where I live in the Mountains. Of course, I was keen to check out any interesting shops & was duly rewarded after some initially fruitless searching.
The shop I got this vase from looked unpromising from the outside, but as soon as I walked in the door, my opinion quickly changed. A HUGE shop, packed with all kinds of stuff, including loads of glass of many types. This piece was the first find of the three purchases I made (I could have bought more but held back). Stay tuned as I will be posting two more cool pieces of glass over the next few days!
I have plenty of Peloton glass, collected over 27 years, but this type from the Art Deco era is particularly elusive. So I was pretty hyped when I spotted this vase. It is made from two layers of cased glass, clear over an intense vermilion red, with Peloton threads in yellow & black. It measures 15 cm tall, 5 cm across the cut & polished top rim, & 5.5 cm across the base.
    In perfect condition.
    Czech origin, 1920s - 1930s.

Beautiful piece. I think it is a product of the Franz Tomschick glassworks from Kostany near Teplice. Around 1925-1928. Shape number 0187.
