Here is a 6 1-2"H clear glass "ice block" style sculpture with etched seahorse design from Mats Jonasson, with orig label & lightly written 'MJ Sweden 2614' on base, ca 1980s

The seahorse is particularly well designed and cut in this beauty, have seen others by the artist but this so far is a favourite !~
This seahorse is simply outstanding Jenni!!! I love the ice block sculpture. It's just so unique.

Phil thank you for your marvelous comment, this really is a nice one by Jonasson. He does so many beautiful animals and some are posted here, of course when I saw the seahorse I had to have it :) Very dramatic rendering of one with the flaring head it's so unusual
Thank you Scott for your terrific comment, yes the chopped ice block look is amazing in glass, Jonasson was known for that though I've actually found this style from other Swedish glassmakers. Could the glacial look have something to do with the often cold Nordic weather, very possibly
