Hello everyone!!
Here’s the third set of vintage cast iron boy and girl reading bookends. As I mentioned earlier, these are from around 1920. There were a couple of different manufacturers of these and the styles have slight variations. They are all made by an unknown manufacturer. These measure 5 1/4” tall and 6 1/2” tall. These weigh approximately 3lbs each. Pic #4 shows all three sets together. I cleaned these the best that I could without ruining the 100+ years of patina and I replaced the felt on both. These remind me of Dick and Jane from the reading primers that we used in elementary school many years ago. These are very reminiscent of the Maxfield Parrish painting titled "The Little Peach".
