Here is a 5"H green glass bird on a rounded base, with raised logo imprint AG on the bottom as well as their orig gold maple leaf sticker. By Altaglass of Alberta Canada ca 1980s

Dave, I think you've nailed it, certainly does have the look & color of a mallard duck, cool observ! The green glass here is really nice & has kind of a whipped bubble pattern inside, very nicely made by Altaglass. I really like that co & have quite a few of their glass animals, mostly birds.
