    Sterling silver bag, 1900s. It belonged to Clarissa Sammons Bergen (1851-1925) married in 1871 to George Pitkin Bergen (1849-1909), a grocery whole saler.. They had a daughter Mildred (1887-1981).

      Most often called a silver chain mail purse. Look up chain mail.
