Angela Tier Glass Rat

Angela Tier usually sculpts in clay.
Look up her work at the Utopia Gallery in Whanganui. The Egytian style urns are really special.
Angela has done a series on rats recently in clay and decided to try to make one in glass helped by her friend Emma Camden, they made 5 of the one you see in the pictures, Emma usually uses the lost wax method, but in this case they just made the one mould using a clay head and the glass used is uranium!!
The head is about the size of a large rat and came with a threaded rod on the back which for the photos I temporarily attached to a small piece of marble.
