Here is a 4"H opaline blue glass owl that was named the Hoot Less Owl, item #18, by Imperial Glass from the 50s-60s. Reissued in the early 1980s when Arthur Lorch owned Imperial, with raised ALIG imprint on the owl's side feather (as seen in 4th photo, also excerpt from book Glass Animals by Spencer)

Great piece with some nice detail. Unusual colour !~
Really appreciate the kind love, thanks so much

Phil isn't this a cool color blue, like maybe cornflower, it's sort of got an opaque look. I still don't know why Imperial called it a Hoot Less owl, but it's got a really pretty horned ear design & nice back feathers. Thank you as ever for your superb comment
Love it....I can never get enough of your owls...so cute!!!
Leesa thank you so much for your wonderful comment/love for this blue owl & my owl collection, I am always delighted to bring a smile. Found a really cool glass owl for a future post that I hope you'll enjoy, by a famous maker...was surprised a variation of it was never posted here before
Ted & Old Dust, thank you both for the thoughtful love & glad you enjoyed this owl
