It's been 25 years since I acquired my very first fairy lamp, & the collection has grown slowly over the following years. Most of it has been a case of finding odd parts, either domes or bases, & matching them up. Only occasionally have I been lucky enough to score an intact example at a reasonable price. This rare fairy lamp is one of those magic finds, a buy it now on eBay AU.
The dome has a flower form, a peony type bloom in clear & yellow glass, which sits atop a Clarke patent base.
All up, around 10 cm high x 10 cm wide.
Base is made in England, not sure about the top, it almost has an Early Loetz style.
Circa 1880s.

Such a beauty and so hard to find. Well done!
Many thanks, Peggy, & much appreciated!
I would support your opinion, that the top is actually a 'Early Loetz' style holder since the veining of the petales are shaped very characteristically.
Oh wow, this is outstanding!!
Much appreciated, kairomalte! Very exciting to hear this!
Thanks also, Scott!
