This 3 1-4"L porcelain Bengal tiger brooch has realistic markings, and was handpainted by wildlife artist Carol Halmy in the 1980s. Have one other by her previously posted, a pair of cheetahs.

DejaVu, the tiger could definitely make one think of a plush toy, esp with that bushy tail! I love the Halmy wild cats as they look almost cuddly & approachable, without that savage look. Scott, this painted tiger brooch is pretty great I agree, Ms Halmy really captured the animal quite realistically. Her porcelain wildlife brooches are exceptional and I was lucky to find a couple online, it's always nice for me to locate a nice big cat item
