This was a fabulous find at the bi monthly antiques fair a few weeks ago. Literally within five minutes of walking in I spotted this, & was knocked out! I’m always looking for great iridescent art glass & this ticked all the boxes.
A large rose bowl, with crimped incurved top rim, in a delicate shade of pale mauve shading to clear opalescent glass with an iridescent finish. There is a distinctive abstract optic relief pattern. The rose bowl also features a very interesting & unusual brass flower holder with two levels. Never have I seen a rose bowl of this type with a brass flower holder like this, it definitely adds an extra point of interest to this piece.
There is a rough pontil mark on the base which shows a blob of milky opaline glass.
Bohemian origin, circa 1900. Maybe Kralik?

My gut says Rindskopf?? Never seen such a flower holder. If it didn't fit so perfectly I would have been dubious, but it looks original - amazing!

Thanks also, Wow22, I am also thinking Rindskopf potentially, probably a bit more than Kralik. I agree, the flower holder is something unique!
Beautiful and very interesting. About four years ago I bought two rose bowls knowing they weren't Kralik though they did have a relief pattern on the base. Each had a double level flower arranger with an ornate pattern around the vertical part. I've never seen the like again. They were I.D.ed as John Walsh Walsh. Just my fourpennorth and they are posted here.

Indeed interesting. And yet, the relief pattern (and other qualities) reminds me so much of these examples where Kralik and Rindskopf are the usual candidates for attribution:

Wow 22, I smiled when I found that your link took me some of my own Kralik glass, though not a rose bowl. That said I have many Kralik rose bowls posted here and none have a rim like that of the bowl IronLace posted here.
