Here is a 7 1-4"H x 9 1-4"W lavender/neodymium glass wolfhound that was originally made in clear glass by New Martinsville in the 1940s, later reissued by Dalzell Viking in the 1990s in colored glass

Fabulous Art Deco Borzoi dog and the image most used in statue dogs in that period. I would treasure this and would be a most collected piece !~

Phil the Borzoi/wolfhound is such a stately dog, if I'm correct rich ladies used to have them as pets in the 50s-60s and take them out walking. It is a treasure and one of the finest pieces from Viking, a lucky find. Thank you for your wonderful insightful comment
