This is one out of five Bitossi Owl Heads I found for sale by a man that listed them as "folk art" pieces. I didn't know anything about Bitossi Ceramics when I found them but, just like the seller, I got immediately attracted by their beautiful and somewhat odd design. Different from the seller though, I had Google Lens telling me that they were Italian design pieces from the 1960s. Well, long story short, I now own the five of them. I will keep one of them for sure. They are 6 1/2 inches in diameter by 6 1/2 inches high.
Hope you like them.
Now, for some history on Bitossi Ceramics and Aldo Londi:
Founded in 1921 by Guido Bitossi in Montelupo Fiorentino, Italy, Bitossi Ceramiche is a renowned manufacturer blending traditional Tuscan craftsmanship with modern design. Under artistic director Aldo Londi (starting in 1946), the company gained international fame, particularly for the 1959 "Rimini Blue" collection. Now in its fourth generation, it continues to produce handmade, high-quality ceramic art.

I’d keep them all. They are Fabulous !!!

Yes, sometimes people have told me I can't own 3 of a kind let alone 5. Just a few nasty people on this site. A lot of the time I was looking for a signed piece when they were manufactured. This piece is an art piece and can see the diffuculty in the making of your piece. When you collect owl pieces, there must be something wonderful about the piece and this item of yours comes with outstanding provenance and beautiful design. Congrats for your collection !~
