This 2"L goldtone cat brooch has two large faceted turquoise rhinestones for its body, with lighter blue teardrop stones as the ears and a mini white stone collar. By Dodds ca the 1960s, with name mark on the back

Lol about the cat adopting you, I'm assuming you mean a stray...when we were first married, the owner of the house we rented asked us to "look after" four motherless kittens (later cats) on the back porch while he wintered in Florida, which we did for some yrs til we moved out
