Hi - I was given this bronze dragon by a friend who thought it was possibly ancient northern european, but I've assumed it was Chinese. Any guidance on age and date?

That doesn't look European at all...
And its certainly not "ancient" like your friend thought
I don't think its a dragon either, looks like a stylized cat or dog or something
