This was one brooch I acquired many years ago..and fell in love with the stone! I did not know what to do with it..but just stare at it time to time. I think the colours in the Moss Agate is stunning and wanted to share. This is hallmarked Sterling Germany. it measures 40mm x 30mm

Will probably get more wear time. Unfortunately no one really wears pins these days...myself included.

inky, I love pins but they are not practical. I have shown pins that I would not alter...but some you can :( :) I know how you feel! I have had many years of not changing a thing on Antique Jewelry...and faced that situation many times...I feel its almost like defacing art. But if you don't wear pins or stick pins what do you do?

I use my large brooches on a plain scarf or shawl or pashmina- I have quite a collection of scarves and pin the brooch to the side.Very nice
