The two vases were bought separately, many years apart.
The larger one was found in a second hand store twenty five years ago with some very dusty dried flowers in it. I had already started collecting signed pieces by PER LÜTKEN in the seventies, but this was the largest piece I had ever seen. I paid twenty dollars for it.
The smaller one is the smallest version of the Drop vase or dråbevase that Holmegaard produced in 1955.
The big one is marked with Per's monogram and the number 15472 and the smaller is coded 15469.
The colour is called safir/sapphire.
These vases have a huge volume for their height.
The large one is:
H: 44cm & W: 30cm x 26cm. It weighs 6.5 kilos.
H: 17.3 ins & W: 11.8 ins x 10.2 ins. Weight: 14.3 lbs.
The smaller one is only 12 x 9.5 x 10.5
The secret, as with many of Per Lutken's Holmegaard designs, is the way they were made, using steam from a wet wooden pin, inserted in the gather of glass to blow the bubble.

They are beautiful, look cool with the man.
Many thanks BELLIN68, mark, ozmarty & scandinavian_pieces too!
WOW! This is the very big one! I'd love to get one of these some time. So far I've just got the two smallest sizes (13 and 16 cm. tall). You've got a great collection!
Many thanks again austrohungaro, mark, ozmart ans scandinavian_pieces.
They also made some big dråbevases with engraving. I have never seen one here in Australia,......yet! I'm looking for one of the middle sized ones to make a set of three.
Many thanks Hedgewalker!
Happy New Year!
