This is an RPPC from 1908, the man holding the book & the woman next to him are my Grandfather's Uncle & Aunt. This picture was taken in 1908, in Sittingbourne, Kent, England, this is a Hop picking crew. The way that the man on the left is dressed, I would assume that he is the land owner, or the farm manager.
The second photo I can't date as the corner is missing, & it was never posted, on the back is written "With kind love to all from Mrs Mudge"

I love the photos, I will have to show them to my Mother, she has always wanted to go to England, but feels that at the age of 85 she will have to be content with pictures of her Fathers homeland.
I wondered if they still grew hops in Kent.

They call that photo bombing now, I don't know what they called it in 1908.
I don't know what cob nuts are, but the plants are to small for hops.
