Of course I earlier saw intaglio antique jewelry but I'm not able to find any one like this I need your help to identify !!

Very rare beautiful Victorian brooch. The mounting was probably made of Onyx or yet (I for myself think it will be yet because of the faceted mount) and the inside depicting two swallows, branches and nest with eggs in some bronze colored paint? I believe it is entirely hand colored and behind (convex) glass. Very nice depth display 3d effect. The back site is of silver (afterwards painted in black). No marks at all with c-clasp. WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT THIS BROOCH ALSO DATING???

While trying to find what is tickling my brain about this piece, I found this interesting article on V. jewelry. I do not know this person, but enjoyed the article.

Hi look for the terms "reverse essex crystal" or "essex crystal" and you will certainly be happy with what you find.
