Here is a coin that someone milled a hollow into the obverse of a copper plated zinc cent, and ground a second cent down to fit inside as a cover, to conceal a small piece of ferrous metal.

Special thanks to Kid for this one!

TubeAmp, I didn't notice the seams as pointed out by you, Novelty coin sounds good to me, but the one I have posted is a form of Alchemy, lol Thanks for the detailed blow up of the other.

You can rub mercury on a cent and it will turn silver in color. It's not alchemy, it's an amalgam ;)

And this will create the penny to have magnetic properties? This is what i dont understand. The murcury will detierate the one percent copper which is non magnetic and whats left is 99% zinc because its dated after 1982, this metal is also non magnetic? Thats why im cofused. Thanks again on your feedback..

"...conceal a small piece of ferrous metal" that makes it attracted to a magnet.
