This is my WW2 military issue bicycle. A friend had given me a call that he wanted to sell his balloon tired bike. I went over to see it and he told me that underneath a few layers of paint it was olive drab. Not knowing much about war use bikes at that time I was a little hesitant, but a good price sold me. Well, I took it home and after a few minutes knew I had a real war bike. Heavy duty rims, correct headlight, tire pump mount, wood block pedals, and the correct serial number. I had to strip it down and repaint but left the dents alone. I still have to have the seat recovered, mount the pump, and find the tool pouch. The cool part is that the lady my friend had gotten it from told him that it had belonged to her brother who had passed away, which is sad, but he was a WW2 Postman who had ridden it on base. I love this bike, but the story with it is what makes it great. Bless our Servicemen.

Thanks job94 for liking this bicycle. I feel that every piece of equipment was important in winning the war, from the biggest tank, to the bicycle used to deliver the mail.

so my question is how much is it worth
  7. Vontrike Vontrike, 6 years ago
I think that the historical value of owning a piece of history surpasses the monetary value.

Google Military bicycles,,I believe it will be the first one that comes up on the page. It is the Liberators site. Scroll down to the bottom of the page, then hit Home. There will be a icon on that page to contact him. Nice guy, and he knows these bikes.
