GEORGIAN WAX SEAL ETUI INCLUDING MEMENTO MORI SKULL

Here's a fantastic and super rare 1820s Georgian sentiment wax seal etui. The etui case is gold gilt over sterling silver and contains 11 double sided brass wax seal impressions. Some with French, Italian and English sentiments, some without.

The most exciting feature is the memento mori skull impression with the French sentiment above, "J'ai ete le suis, tu seras," translated as, "I once was I am thou shalt" or "as you are, so once was I." Very rare.

Wax seal etui sets are so hard to come by considering most of them reside in antique wax seal collections.
