brunswick, Treadwell is my last name. That's why I wanted the bottle. I have only seen four over the past 6 years and have purchased three of them. was outbid on one. My sister has one and one of my bothers has one, this one is mine.

      "Has internal screw threaded closure."
It does not and rarely would ever in America. I can see that from the photo.

Here is a poor-quality pic (my old camera) of an internally threaded bottle, circa 1870s:

Hey SpiritBear. You are right, it doesn't, just looked. I did a copy paste from eBay where i got it. thanks for the call out.

Just making sure to get the terminology correct.

It is indeed a wonderful bottle. Nicely embossed and very clean. Family history or just coincidence?

wish it was family history but it's just a coincidence. :)

scottvez, sorry I really don't know that much about whiskey. My last name is Treadwell. That's why I wanted / purchased. I use it as a water decanter for dinners. chill it in the refrigerator.

      Hello GlueChip,

I just came across a Treadwell Whiskey bottle just like the one you have pictured. Are you interested in purchasing it from me?
