I purchased these dolls to add to my hazel atlas candy stripe display cabinet. I would love to know more about them, especially the one in red. The hat and chest areas are plastic or vinyl (not sure which) the bottom half is cloth.

Those are pretty cool Aim..kind of reminds me of old fashioned popcorn boxes. The little "Kewpie" dolls are cute . My sister had one of the Pixie ones similar to the one in the back ground but I don't know the proper term or company. :)

Hi Aim long time no see :-) The doll with cloth bottom is called a mask face doll . Face is a mask applied to the front of cloth head . Made of Celluloid (which was banned due to fire hazard ) . These were popular very late 40's and more into the 50's . Several companies produced them . The Kewpie's should be marked on their neck or back but are newer than cloth doll ,The tallest one I believe is a licensed version the smaller a look a like .
      Similar mask face

Is larger Kewpie marked Cameo like this one ?

Wow! Thank you Mani xo a lot of great info there. If thats the going rate for the mask face than I did really well. The mark on the Kewpie is in the eBay link looks like a birthmark. LoL too cute.

I love your stripey collection. The clown cups are so cute but they are all wonderful.
      Looks great!

i love your dollies too. I have an old Kewpie (no mark). For some reason they seem to be worth more here than I would expect!
