Hello everyone.....these are 2 of my special pieces from my collection of sweetheart jewellery.
I hope my pictures are clear enough to see all the details! They are both Australian hallmarked for 9ct gold and both have the same maker's symbol for Alfred T Jackson from Western Australia which is a stylized rampant lion....you might be able to make it out in the picture of the back of one of the brooches.
Australian animals....emu, kangaroo, kookaburra, as well as boomerang with IN FRANCE engraved, gum leaf with Gallipoli engraved, and of course the Southern Cross.
I hope you will enjoy looking at them as much as I do.....

Wonderful brooches Devil. I have never see Australian WW1 sweetheart brooches before and these are so Australian! Iconic motifs on each, but I love the Kookaburra and Southern Cross.
