    This is a very old carved ebony walking stick or cane i found at Urban Ore today. it has an elephant head and body as the handle and floral reliefs as well as a scene of a lion hunting an elephant and another one of an elephant hunting a deer carved on the cane. i believe that the wood is ebony - very hard and heavy.
