I am not a big fan of Sarah Coventry, but these earrings caught my eye. The stone cut is quite unusual and the play of color is very attractive.

I had a friend who bought many at a garage sale and take apart just for the stones. She made spiders from them. Not the best use of costume jewellery but to her credit, the pieces were beautiful.

Heliotrope! Makes perfect sense. Thank you, nutsabotas6! Celiene, don't know the cut but I'm sure there's some treatment involved, like for example, covering only one facet with whatever for aurora borealis effect but not the others, so that reflection bounces around.
