Usually I don't buy gold because I really prefer silver. This ring was really cheap, so I made an exception, especially because my daughters like gold, and I might just pass it on to one of them.

I don't know much about stones but I guess that this one could be spinel. It could be also synthetic, who knows.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for looking:)

AmatoorPikr, I don't know much about gemstones at all but I searched for something that looked like my stone and remembered that spinel comes in a variety of colours, including a greenish/blue like my stone:)

The stone is a lovely colour - I hope someone can confirm the stone as spinel (or not!)

Racer4four, I hope so. I would really love to find out what it is. What happened to me before is that I see items on line and I think I know what they are, but when one holds the real thing in one's hands, one can tell the difference. I am not sure if I made myself clear enough; I mean that pictures on line are not always tell the whole story:)
