Can anyone identify this beautiful & interesting piece of art glass. The top measures 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" ... it is 4 1/2" in height. Clear glass & light tangerine. Each side has a different textured pattern. Some of the pattern is pressed into the underside too. The rim & four footers are highly polished for a high quality finish. The piece puts me in mind of Blenko? A really HEAVY chunk of glass. I love it! What do you think? Thanks!

In the second photo there is an etched signature almost at the very bottom, right hand side. The signature is angled upwards.

It's a beautiful piece of glass.

Gillian, thank you for this observation!!! Wow I totally missed it. I'm so grateful that you brought it to my attention. The signature is distinctly etched but formation of the letters are hard to read. There is also a glass "wrinkle" just after the first letter which confounds things a bit. Best guess: WIHULA, NIHULA, WITRULA, NITRULA, WILWLA. Perhaps I should repost it with better pics of the signature. Again, thanks!

      Sounds Scandinavian, like Karhula.
