This was a recent find s few days agoThe locket has a an old glass plate picture of a man on one side and a photo of a child in the front.I believe this is a piece of mourning jewelry

Yes, I also think this is a mourning piece. Normally, there would be curled or woven hair under the glass. Very nice!

I think the inscription is M Fisher. Or something very similar.
