Green is one of my favorite colors. This necklace is choker length, which is a good thing because it's somewhat heavy. Nice to see a barrel clasp with a design for a change. When the weather cools off, I will be wearing this pretty necklace.
:-))))
Thanks for coming over.

P.S. I was informed today by my friend Geri that sometimes when a necklace is as this one, missing one bit near the top, it's a sign that the item was handmade by an individual rather than a company. Since there's no extra space anywhere, then I must assume that the "missing crystal" was intentional.
Wow! That's really gorgeous!
Big time score for you ! :)
Pretty color - maybe 1950's? Old choker lengths were from 13" to 15", but the beads are heavy, so 17" plus? Lovely! I like the ornate barrel clasp. Very nice find.
val - I really have no idea. These beads can be bought online for literally pennies by hobby jewelry makers. I don't know if this is a hobby piece or a piece made by a costume jewelry company. The barrel clasp is a bit different. The ones I usually see on costume jewelry are quite ordinary and boring.
Love them Green and they look to be moonstone-ish type
val - it's 15 inches in length.
Notice at the top, by the clasp, there should be a crystal between those two beads. I now think this was made by a hobby jewelry maker. Nobody will notice the missing crystal when I wear it, anyway.
:-))))
Okay, I see what you are saying about the missing crystals up by the top. I usually see these cat's eye beads in plastic not glass. Maybe the maker had a stash of old beads to put this together. Something I enjoy doing too. :-)
Pretty and I am sure it will become you, hun!
val - I was surprised that it was glass, as just about all the costume jewelry in the shop is plastic or crappy metal. It just looked too nice to be junk.
Thanks, lentilka11 :-)))))
Oh so beautiful love the shade of green.
Beautiful color!
Will look wonderful on you I am sure!! Such a pretty colour and love choker length!!!
Love this shade of green! [;>)
Gorgeous green beads. I really like this Bonnie.
Such lovely green beads! I love this style of necklace.
I love it too! It's going to look perfect on! Is the difference between cats eye and moon-glow the line? Funny that you said something about pieces being purchased for pennies...I was contemplating selling my beads (from 30's to 70's) by the pound, such a hard thing to think of but I haven't worked them in so long and it's a shame they are all just sitting here. And I have sooo many!
Necklaces like these make me want to get back to creating...well, that's just not going to happen, I'm sure.
