I bought this silver necklace and was told it came from an estate sale. I haven't been able to find anything about the slide out clasp on both sides of the necklace. It has layers of beautiful filigree work. The links are also closed, there is no way this necklace could come apart unless you were really trying to break it. Any info or direction on where to research it would be nice!

Agree with rucklczglass. Your beautiful necklace could have come from one of any number of countries: Italy, Indonesia, France, Germany, Mexico...the list goes on.

It's beautiful. How interesting that it has a push-pin clasp on both sides!

I have several filigree bracelets with a similar push-pin clasp. Mine are 1930s Egyptian but as said above, it could be from a number of places. Have a good look for any marks, they can be hard to spot.

My first thought was also Egyptian because of the clasp. Take a look at pebble's bracelet for location of the marks. If yours isn't marked , it could be nickel silver or silverplate.
