I've seen these clocks at various shows, but is there a name for them, or really just "glass ball clocks"? Picked this up last week at NAWCC Convention in Kansas City. Runs great, looks very art deco. No markings on stand. Inside ball, can make out only "Fran(ce) or Franz)? Any idea on age or manufacturer?

It is a French Clock from the 19th century, I have seen one like it but it featured an eagle holding the ball clock in it's beak. There were no marks or manufacturer name on it either, and it was not cheap, it had a price tag of over two thousand on it.

There are a lot of these floating around that are reproductions, usually from China.
