    My husband was given this beautiful Jewellery box when on a business trip. It is modern, around 2004, but it is very well made and very shiny! It is mother of pearl lacquer ware from South Korea and is known as Najeon Chilgi. I like to keep my crystal necklaces in it.

      That is so beautiful. I love intense inlay work like this.
      I find Korean artefacts so interesting - they have a very old and developed culture and yet in the West we have not really started appreciating their works very much.
      What I have seen of their traditional arts is so good!
