This is a new item made by Schleich. By new I mean brand new not just new to me. This may be considered a toy but the quality is much better than most of the current toys which tend to be cartoonish. But I bought it at a toy store so a toy it is.
This is a Kentrosaurus figure which is a type of Stegosaur. The actual animal was small for a Stegosaur at only 15 feet long and weighing a bit over ton. The largest Stegosaurs were 30 feet long and seven tons. But it makes for size with lots and lots of spikes. Thag Simmons would not be happy.
The figure is very well detailed and has excellent animation which is to say the suggestion of movement. Not sure if Schleich makes all their figures in the same scale but probably not. Still it is a nice figure/toy.

Very nicely detailed! We still have a lot of Schleich farm animals from when our oldest son was a little boy and had a lot of toy farm implements, barns and animals. The Schleich figures are truly fantastic.
Schleich are great, and I like that they release these dinosaurs based on latest findings. It's a handover chap.
