I found this back in 1999 in a field. Tried hard to find owners to no avail. It was beautiful I will bet. It has an inscription on inside that reads Dan my sweetheart lover and friend love Claudia. Not sure what kind of watch it is? But I hung onto it .

Beautiful watch, love the italic numerals, gold accents on the face and gorgeous pearlized golden exterior - perhaps it was a pocket watch

You can open the back of the watch to see who made it. Incabloc shock system was patented in 1934 so your watch may not be very old at all. And the dial is Toast !

I have this exact watch, same face even. I bought mine new in 1973 from a catalog while I was serving in the Army in Okinawa. Don't recall the company or any other details. It is a pocket watch.

I dug mine out. Right above where the hands attach mine says "Arnex". That is probably what the remains of the black on the face of your dial said, unless other vendors put their name in the same spot. Mine is 100% identical, otherwise.
