i think that this is a french bulldog. it's made of iron, but feels like it's full of lead - very, very heavy! any info appreciated!

I found this online, he looks like a Boston terrier, the face is wrong for a Frenchie. Hope it's of some help or a lead

Looking the dog over I would say this could quite possibly be a kit dog. By that I mean that years ago you could send away and buy a door stop kit. You would get the unpainted dog, paint you selected and a paint brush. You put him together and painted it to suit yourself. The colors are wrong for a Hubley or National as are the screw locations. I have seen kit dogs that people filled with cement or sand to make them heavier. The normal weight would be anywhere from 5 to 8 pounds. The difference in weight is because many came in a couple different sizes.
Difficult to tell from a photo but that is my 2 cents.
