    i was very pleased to find this Monterey Furniture coffee table today at my favorite second-hand store in Berkeley - for dirt cheap. There's a little bit of damage - looks like worm holes or something on the bottom of mainly one foot and a little bit of another foot, but it still displays beautifully and is very sturdy. you can pull a little wrought iron handle under it and it opens up a storage box. i think it's from the 1930s.

      THIS IS WONDERFUL! it is from the early 1930s — this is the first piece that made me fall in love with Monterey when I started collecting. I saw it in a gallery & was smitten. That was 20+ years ago and in all these years of collecting I’ve never owned one. If you would consider selling it please let me know, I’d love to give this table it’s forever-home. Cheers
