Picked up this beautiful chair from an antique mall and was curious of the age. Any info is greatly appreciated!

Rococo revival. Second half of the 19th century, but could be even younger.

The upholstery is especially beautiful, very nice chair.

      amandagann313, Beautiful.

However, what Golgotha says about the potential vintage is unfortunately true. My own family had a 'Victorian' parlor furniture set very similar in style to this, and it was bought new in the mid-1970s.

The specific sub-style you have here is the man's chair.

The companion woman's chair would have been like the chair on the left in this pair:

The woman's chair would not have had the arm rests, because those would have prevented a woman wearing a hoop-skirt from sitting down with modesty. };-)

This is a 20th century example.

They were made well into the 1950's amd 60s. I would think its 1950 or so. I have several of them. They were made extensively into the 20th century by many makers. But don't feel bad about the age as they are still well made into the 20th century. There are still makers of this type but not near as many still in business.

amandagann313, Yes, I'm sorry that I didn't say in my earlier comment what PhilDMorris said about the quality.

My family knew going into it that the parlor set we purchased was a new, mid-20th century reproduction of a style popular in the 19th century, but it was well-made, quality furniture, as yours appears to be regardless of its age.

Here's a sofa similar in style to what we had and what you have:
